EURAO Party - Spring 2017: watching SSTV

The European Radio Amateurs' Organization announces a new party on the air, this time with the motto: "watching SSTV". Remember this is not a contest, it is just a radio meeting with a few simple 'rules', better to call them recommendations.

Purpose: SSTV (Slow Scan TeleVision) is not a new mode, but it is incredibly fun, even as a SWL. Try it and meet hams all over the world.

Date & time: June 17th and 18th, 2017, Saturday and Sunday, 00:00-24:00 UTC.

Bands & modes: these are the recommended frequencies (+/-) for SSTV: 3.730, 7.058, 10.132, 14.230, 21.340, 28.680, 50.510 and 144.500 MHz.

Call: "CQ EURAO Party".

EURAO Award: recognized by the Spanish PTT nuevo

EURAO Award In April, EURAO Award achieved the recognition of the Spanish Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, as a means of accrediting international amateur radio experience and in this way allowing its holders the access to callsigns with 2 letters in the suffix, a kind of vanity call.

This official recognition also implies that EURAO is taken into account by Public Administrations also at national level.

Do not miss the opportunity to get your EURAO Award.
